Forever

Recently, Michael and I had some very interesting pillow talk.
We discussed the French Revolution for about forty minutes before going to bed.
I had just finished reading an abridged version of Les Miserables.
It was a beautiful book.

Last fall, we went to a traveling Broadway production of Les Miz.
I knew a lot of the music and some of the story.
It was powerful, and the finale scene filled me eyes with tears.
I felt so proud as I stood and clapped for the cast.

And then over Christmas, we went to see the movie.
It was incredible.  I loved the Broadway, but the movie was truly amazing.
To me, it was so much more emotional.  It was so beautiful and raw.
I loved the book and I read it within a couple of days (mind you, it was abridged).
That is why I don't read books very often.  I lack self-control.
The music is powerful, but of course the book added so many more details.

There was a quote in the book that really struck me.
"God can add nothing to the happiness of those who love one another,
but to grant them eternity together."
I believe in eternity.
I know that our Father in Heaven has given us the opportunity to live with our families forever.
And doesn't it just make sense?  God loves us.  We are His children.
He wants us to be happy.
And he wants us to give us the opportunity to be with those we love for eternity.
