Our little town goes all out for the 4th of July.
We were busy all day, but we did have a chance to sneak in a quick nap. All of us.
We went to a flag raising ceremony and breakfast put on by our ward.
And then we went to the parade and the park festivities.
We had a big BBQ at our house with friends and then lit fireworks with those who stuck around.
We ended the night by watching the big fireworks on the school lawn.
Max was scared of the little ones we lit at home, so I was worried about how he'd handle the big ones.
But, he laid so still and quiet, cuddled up to Michael for the whole show.
It was a perfect day, however, I feel the summer quickly slipping away from me.
