I got a message the other day letting me know that a friend had invited our preschool group to watch some Apache helicopters land at the local airport. I had to send a message back:
"That sounds like fun. I guess I'm not sure what an Apache helicopter is. Just a helicopter?"
As you can tell, I'm not really in the know on military equipment. Or helicopters.
Our friend knew the pilot, and he was kind enough to show the helicopter to us during his pit stop.
It was a pretty special treat for all the kids.
And if we're being honest here, the adults were pretty darn excited too. Especially the menfolk.
Luckily Michael had the day off and was able to accompany us on this preschool field trip.
The kids got to climb up on the helicopter for some fun pictures.
And Michael got to pick the pilot's brain about all the amazing technology. He was practically in heaven.
This is Max's gun face. He's pretty good at it isn't he? You'll notice it in a couple of pictures.
Michael loved the pilot's call name "Hot Load". I think he wants me to start calling him by that same name:)
I now know what an Apache helicopters are, and they are pretty cool!
