Life is good

This picture hangs on my fridge.
I usually glance at it multiple times a day. But tonight, I really looked at it.
Kat and Max were in bed, Michael was at mutual, and Sam was crawling around on the floor.
It was quiet, and I had a chance to stop and stare at those precious faces.

I couldn't help but think about how much those three have changed in the last nine months.
Samuel was just one month old. They have all changed. I have changed.
Life was so overwhelming and sometimes unbearable those first few months.
But we all made it. And we have somewhat of a functional rhythm now.

Kathryn is the second mommy. She is so responsible, that I sometimes ache a little for her.
Maxwell is such a good big brother. He is Samuel's little entertainer and he never stops talking.
Samuel is into everything. He is busy and wiggly and everything in between.

I feel so blessed to have three healthy children. Both of our boys have given us scares.
But they are healthy now. I wouldn't trade anything for those times either. They were hard, but good.
I feel so blessed to have a wonderful husband who protects, presides and provides for our family.
I love that we each have a special role, and I am so grateful for mine.
Life is good. Especially today.
