July Part 3

We took advantage of the kids Idaho park pass they earned from the summer reading program, 

and went to the Bruno Sand Dunes.

We mostly had fun, except for the times when it was super windy and sand blew in our eyes.  

We continued our adventure and explored a few other fun areas close by.

It was such a fun family day, and the kids did wonderfully.

 

 

July Part 2

We love celebrating the 4th of July at home.

Our town puts on a fun parade in the morning, complete with horses, tractors and vintage cars.

Then we go to the park for fried fair food and games.

After the park, we go home and make everyone drink tons of water and take a nap.

It's normally pretty hot in July, and our kids faces turn bright cherry red.

After nap-time, we have friends over for a barbecue, treats and games. 

We light off fireworks in our front yard and then head to the school to watch the big show.

We had such a fun day celebrating our freedom.

I'm missing July. A lot. 

July Part 1

1. I consider a summer evening blissful, when I let my baby run around in his diaper.

2. A sweet friend of ours came over one night to paint Kathryn's fingernails for the 4th of July. She was in heaven.

3. I spent an early morning following Sammy around. Oh how I love those chubby little feet.

4. A beautiful sunset. This was definitely the summer of spectacular sunsets.

5. Swimming lessons are always a favorite activity for my kids. Max had a little trepidation at first, but then he warmed up. Both he and Kathryn loved the water and they became very confident. 

 

6. Much needed haircuts for the boys. 

7. Michael and I went on a date to the golf course one afternoon. 

 

8. Another one of our favorite summer activities is painting on the back porch. We painted A LOT of rocks this summer.

10. A few pre-4th of July fireworks. 

I guess I wasn't done with June..

Oh man. Oh man alive.

I am here. We've had troubles with our computer since early summer.

Like completely shutting down while in the middle of a project kind of troubles.

I didn't want to lose any of my five million pictures, so nothing happened for a while.

Michael bought an external hard drive to put my mind at ease. That made me feel better.

But that doesn't excuse the fact that our computer has been fixed for a month (or more).

I'm here now! And there is SOOO much to catch up on.

1. Kathryn's end of the school year box. She got to decorate it and bring it home filled with all sorts of treasures she had saved during the year. 

2. Samuel's ornery face just kills me. This boy loves his big sister though.

3. Oh these boys. I don't even know what to write, except that they are so darn cute holding hands.

4. The beginnings of Sam's LEGO infatuation. 

 
5. Bring on summer!

Sundays...

It was a rare Sunday.

The kids and I were all dressed and ready 15 minutes before church started.

So, I just had to take a few pictures of them in all their adorable cuteness.

Sometimes I just want to eat them up, I love them so much!!!

And this is where I called it quits:)
