Hawaii: Part 3

We spent a majority of one day at the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC).
However, we didn't have to be there until 11, so we stopped at the Byodo-In Temple.
It is a replica of the Buddhist temple in Japan, and it is located in the Valley of the Temples.
We enjoyed walking around the beautiful grounds.

Another amazing view on our drive to the PCC.

We had so much fun at the Polynesian Cultural Center.
It is truly an amazing place and the students and staff that work there are so incredibly talented.
We learned so much about all the different cultures of the Polynesian Islands.

(Dancing lessons in Tahiti. Michael volunteered me first, so I of course had to do the same for him)

(Canoe Pageant)

(Coconut tree climbing and fire torch dancing in Samoa)

After the island visits,we went to a Luau.
The food was delicious and the entertainment was so much fun.
We even got to go up to the front with a few couples who were all celebrating anniversaries,
And dance for everyone. It was romantic:) Michael of course made it memorable.
After dinner, we watched an amazing live show called "The Breath of Life".

The next day, we went on a few hikes.
We started by hiking up to the Diamond Head State Monument.
It is located Koko Head Crater, and was once used by the military for coastal defense.
What an incredible view.

We also hiked up to Makapuu Lighthouse.
"It has the largest lense of any lighthouse in the United States."- Wikipedia
Again, the waves were amazing and it was a beautiful view.
Sorry...I keep repeating myself, but I just can't help it.
