Christmas: Part 2

Of all the days we spent together as a family, Christmas Eve was definitely at the top of my list.
We spent the early evening delivering treats to our neighbors.  Kathryn loved it, and excitedly asked me for a treat bag as we approached every door.  As we were walking between houses, she said to me in her sweet little voice, "Christmas is all about giving, right mommy?"  My heart melted.
I only hope I can continue to teach her that concept through the years.

After we finished delivering treats, Michael's parents came over for the evening.  We ate dinner and dessert, and prepared to act out the nativity.  Grandpa Higbee narrated, Kathryn was the sweetest Mary and Maxwell was the most adorable Sheppard and Wise Man.  Kathryn opened new pajamas from Grandma and Grandpa and set out treats for Santa and his reindeer.  After the kids were tucked into bed, the adults played a game of Canasta.  It was a perfect day spent with our loved ones.
