Christmas: Part 4

The German nativity carousel that Michael sent home to his parents one year while on his mission.
It's tradition to light it, gather around it and sing Christmas carols.  We always sing Silent Night.
The grandchildren love it and they always have to blow the candles out.
Sometimes candles are re-lit, just so everyone has a chance to blow at least one out.

I love to watch it spin while the candlelight reflects on the sweet, miniature wooden figurines.
It's a favorite of everyone.  And it's tradition.
This was Maxwell's first year to see its beauty.  He was fascinated by the light and the spinning.
And so, I got to thinking about all the years we've spent gathered around this nativity that reminds me so much of Christmas.  Sadly, there are some years not photographed, but I know we were there watching, because it's just tradition.  Enjoy the selection!
