Weekend Things

1.  Michael and Kathryn went to Costco and they came home with muffins (seminary breakfast), a gigantic parrot kite (family reunion to the Oregon coast this summer), a new lamp (for our living room), and these flowers.  Kathryn handpicked them herself and insisted on holding them the entire time they were at the store.
2.  I looked at this toilet brush in the bathroom and couldn't help but laugh.  We have three bathrooms in our house, but only one toilet brush.  And I drag it around everywhere.  You'd think I'd just invest in two more!
3.  I'm loving my new "flirty" apron that my sweet friend Heidi made me for Christmas.

4.  Michael started working on our dining room.  It's a work in progress at the moment (being as Lowe's didn't have enough wood in stock), but we're glad to finally get going on this project.
5.  We enjoyed taking drives in Michael's Christmas present.  Santa left a Hot Wheels truck in his stocking with a note attached that said a real one was on the way (once he found one he liked).  He said he would have never imagined buying a brown truck, but it grew on us.  My favorite part is the gigantic backseat!
6.  Took some six month pictures of Maxwell.  What a handsome fella!

7.  I think both Michael and I shed some tears watching UP for family movie night this weekend.  Watching the sweet couple meet, get married, find out they can't have children and grow old together was very touching.  But then when the woman passes away...Michael told me that he better die first.  Luckily it had a happy ending!
